How does the PPP small processing plant operate?
Birds are placed in the killing cone funnels with head down – the birds throat is cut.
Once the bird has bled out it is then placed in the scalder.
The bird is removed from the scalder and placed in the plucker.
The plucker can process about 2- 3 birds per minute depending on size.
