The Saxon Electric Eye Sheep Jetter

PPP have been manufacturing sheep jetters since the early 1980’s. The Saxon Sheep Jetter has primarily been developed to meet the needs of farmers who want to control flystrike and parasites, have have mixed aged ewes with average live weights in excess of 85kg, and/or are dipping sheep with a full cover of wool and/or sheep and goats with horns.

The Saxon Electric Eye Sheep Jetter

  • The Saxon Jetter – with adjustable side
  • Side jetting nozzles
  • Hose kit
  • Davey Fire Fighter Pump with a Honda 6.5 HP motor
  • 2 x sets of electric eyes
  • Delivery to your nearest main centre
The jetter is manufactured from high quality stainless steel which has a superior look, but also importantly reduces the weight of the unit down to 111kg and is also corrosion free. Due to the weight, the Saxon comes standard with handles front and back for moving the unit around.

To allow you to dip full-wool rams and ewes and also small lambs, the Saxon Jetter has adjustable sides. With an additional 200mm of head clearance, this is well suited to Australian Saxon blood line sheep, Middle Easten sheep and horned animals (either sheep or goats).

To dip fine full wool sheep, side nozzles have been added to give reassurance that the animal is well covered with dipping product.

Once again, the success is based around the simplicity, reliability and competitive pricing, coupled with the high throughput of sheep per hour i.e. 800-1,000/hr.

Due to the ability to connect and disconnect the whole unit in a matter of minutes (including the pump and motor), the Saxon Jetter is very user-friendly. The jetter can be easily moved to different sites on the farm and is easily stored away by one man.

The system works efficiently so that if sheep are not moving through the jetter, then no product is dispersed. This means no liquid is being released; hence no wastage and no need to recycle contaminated dip, but once the sheep start walking through the race and break a beam, they immediately get hit with product.

The adjustable sides allow you to obtain maximum width for full-wool sheep, but the sides can be adjusted. By adjusting the sides, you can also narrow the race down so lambs can run through and not turn around. As the Saxon Jetter has a higher roof than the Lincoln Jetter, an extra set of electric eyes are added so lambs that jump through the air will also activate the solenoid valves. Of course you still have the option of dipping ewes with lambs at foot.

As an optional extra, a re-cycling system for excess product can be added.
